A very short, action packed story. The main character fights a deadly battle with cloaked figure that he'll never forget.
The things I felt yesterday didn't matter anymore as I unleash fits and anger in an all out battle of death. I think I've changed again. I'm not good nor am I evil. It was literally the dead of the night in the graveyard. I punched at my enemy's face, but he dogged the attack and gave a powerful blow to my stomach. "Get a load of this," I shouted with fury as I flew into the air, executed a three-sixty spin, and gave my enemy a powerful kick to the side of its face. I didn't know if my foe was male or female, man or beast, for it was dressed in a cloak that covered it's body and face. Whoever it was, it slid across the cold, moist grass into a tombstone. I really hoped that the "breaking tombstones gives you bad luck" was true because I was going to need all the luck I could get. I knew my foe wouldn't be taken by surprise just because of a minor attack. This was just the beginning of the battle even though this battle felt like it had been lasting forever. Whatever I was fighting, it was strong. My opponent was just like a bad guy's secret, born fire. You could run all you want from it, but you knew you were going to pay if you crossed paths it. It showed me just how fast it was as it got quickly back on its feet and charged after me like a bull after a red cape. I punched at its face, then gut, then gave it a good upper cut. But for some strange reason it felt like my opponent was smiling at me, like it knew I was going to do those attacks. However, instead of the cloaked figured doing a counter attack, it ran away from me at an incredible speed. For a moment I wonder if I was fighting Sonic the Hedgehog or The Flash or some other superhero speed person people would see on the television box. I didn't care how fast it was. I chased after it, running faster than ever before. I kept chasing after it. Through the graveyard, I used only the moon as my source of light, but that was before I entered the busy city streets. There was some sort of street event going on at the time. Food booths, games, contests, and shows were open to the public. People chatted away, unaware of the danger while having a good time. There was a crowd, but I was able to track my enemy down. I sneaked behind him and attacked. He stumbled backwards into a flame juggler. The flame juggler lost control of the flames and they fell to the grass, spreading fire everywhere. All the people at the event ran, screaming out of horror. My foe was in the flames, but he just laughed. The laugh was mine. Then he revealed his face - the face was mine. My worst enemy was myself. |
